The sandy beach at Harlech is overlooked by Harlech College.

The lakes above Harlech are excellent for trout fishing and bass can often by fished off the local beaches. (For information on licences please contact Harlech Post Office)
Royal St David's Golf Course is within 1/4 of a mile, it is considered the premier links course in North Wales and is referred to as the most difficult par 69 in the world.

For a day out why not enjoy a trip on a narrow gauge railway from Porthmadog to Blaeanau Ffestinog, or take the picturesque mainline railway down the coastal route between Pwllheli and Machynlleth.

Across Tremodog bay to the Llyn Peninsula.

The Italiante Village of Portmeirion, where the 60s TV series The Prisoner was filmed, is nearby and well worth a visit, as are the Slate Caverns in Llanfair.

Barmouth is worth a visit for it's quaint shops and blue flag beach. It also plays host to the three peaks race each June.
