- Coleg Harlech’s Hall of Residence is an eleven storey tower building adjacent to the main College building (which houses the administration offices, library, teaching rooms and theatre). Also situated close by are the Art Studio and Amenities building. The hall of residence is approximately ¼ mile distance from Harlech Station, part of which is up a steep incline. Buses, although not frequent, do stop very close to the building.
- The Hall of Residence is only accessible to wheelchairs via the ground floor entrance next to the car park. There is a lift in the building which provides access to all floors which include the dining room on floor 6 and common room on floor 7. There are two other entrances to the building on floor 7 and floor 3 but both are stepped.
- The Ground floor, which is deemed to be the most suitable for wheelchair users, has five single and two twin rooms but do not have en suite facilities. One of the twin bedrooms is fitted with lever taps and radiator covers. There is a similar room on each floor of the Hall of Residence. However, this floor nor any other floor in the building has facilities to accommodate a person who is completely wheelchair bound
- There is only one wheelchair accessible toilet on the 7th floor of the building. However, all bedroom floors have one raised toilet suitable for persons with slight disabilities, the elderly and infirm.
- One twin bedroom on each of the bedroom floors is fitted with vibrating pillows to alert the occupants in the case of a fire.
- Both the dining room and common room have a range of DDA approved armchairs.
- Portable hearing loops are available, but prior notice will be needed for installation. A hearing loop is available, at all times, in the dining room servery.
- There is a dedicated parking bay for disabled drivers in the car park near the entrance to the Hall of Residence. Disabled parking bays are also available near the entrance to the main building. From this area, it is possible to access the main building via a lift or a ramp in the courtyard.
